DIY Halloween Gingerbread House

DIY Halloween Gingerbread House-Pin

Why wait for Christmas, when you can make a gingerbread house in October? A DIY Halloween gingerbread house that is!

DIY Halloween Gingerbread HouseI’m pretty sure I’ve said this before, but here it is: I love Halloween. I love it, I love it, I love it. Like, as soon as they start putting out the Halloween decorations in all the stores mid-July I just start running up and down the aisles singing “This is Halloween” from “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” That may or may not be an exaggeration. But what’s not an exaggeration is that I get my DIY on hard during Halloween and fall.

DIY-Painting-Motorcycle

Way back, a long time ago (as in like, 2012), when this DIY blog was just a baby, I made some DIY melted crayon art, and I shared it on the blog. It’s actually probably one of my favorite DIY crafts that I’ve ever made. I put it in my daughter’s room, and I hope that all the different colors perk her imagination. Later down the road, once she knows how to read, I hope the “Create” inspires her to follow her dreams. The DIY crayon art is also a favorite of a friend of mine. In my old house, the “Create” art was in a more prominent area, and every time he came over, he would comment on how much he loved it. (more…)

These frozen homemade dog treats are super easy to make, and you probably have all the ingredients already at home! (more…)

DIY Crafts: How to Make DIY Crayons

DIY Crayons

Hey, everybody! Recently my niece had her 4th birthday, and when I asked my sister what I should get for her she said, “Coloring books and stationary.” So…I was kind of baffled by this. But apparently my niece loves coloring and writing letters. I thought just a plain coloring book and some paper would be such a boring gift, so I decided to make her some pretty DIY crayons. (more…)

DIY Patriotic Wreath from Dollar Tree Materials

patriotic-wreath-2

Okay, so I have a long history of making wreaths. I just love wreaths. They’re like my favorite way of decorating, because you just throw a wreath on the front door, and your house can totally be a mess, and everyone’s still like, “Oh, you’re so festive.” So I made this patriotic wreath that can work for all summer – from Memorial Day through Fourth of July to Labor Day – one wreath for three holidays – badda bing badda boom! And I made it all from Dollar Tree supplies, so it only cost me $7! (more…)
