Learning through Discovery with VTech Toys

I received product from VTech to write this post, however all experiences and opinions expressed are my own.

Christmas came a little early at our house, when VTech sent us a box of toys for my daughter to “test.” I was so excited to get these toys, because they’re designed to grow with your child. Pretty much all of their toys accommodate a 2-3 year age range (i.e. for ages 9-36 months), and they the needs of your child at each developmental milestone.

VTech® Spin & Learn Ball Tower™
VTech | Amazon

My daughter absolutely loved the Spin & Learn Ball Tower (above). She’s 10 months old, so she’s on the younger side of the age range, but she really enjoyed playing with the balls and pressing all the buttons on the tower. She loves music, so she’s always pressing the buttons and clapping her hands along with the songs.

  • Colored balls spin, slide and take a ride to teach children about numbers and colors
  • Drop the balls into the top of the tower and listen as it counts or says their color
  • This interactive ball tower has more than 100 songs, melodies, sounds and phrases
  • Four light-up buttons teach little learners insects, colors and numbers with six manipulative play features to enhance fine motor skills
  • 9-36 months; $29.99

VTech® Sit-to-Stand Ultimate Alphabet Train™
VTech | Amazon

vtech-toys-1

The Sit-to-Stand Ultimate Alphabet Train is made for ages 12-36 months, so again, my daughter was a little young for it, but she really liked this toy too. She really loves the alphabet blocks that come with the train, she likes all the songs that the train plays, and she’s been using the train to hold onto while she practices standing. The Alphabet Train has so many different functions, I’m confident she’ll still be playing with it when she’s three years old.

  • Kids can play ten activities while learning letters, numbers, colors and more
  • The train helps build motor skills with six manipulative features including a storybook, clock, gears and 13 double-sided letter blocks that little ones can plug into the side of the train to learn letters and build their vocabulary
  • When little conductors get older, the caboose converts into a wagon they can fill with toys and pull along to develop gross motor skills
  • 12-36 months; $49.99

VTech® Spinning Lights Learning Hippo™

I’m going to wait until my daughter is actually 18 months for her to play with the Spinning Lights Learning Hippo, but if it’s anything like the other toys, I know she’ll love it. It’s a really adorable purple hippo, so of course I love it too.

  • This first vocabulary builder uses moving lights with six fun activities for language development
  • Kids can spin the lights around the alphabet circle to learn about letters, phonics, objects, animals and more
  • In music mode, they can move the rolling ball to add five fun sounds effects to 26 cheerful melodies
  • 18 months-4 years; $19.99

VTech® Write & Learn Creative Center™
VTech |  Amazon

vtechwrite

We definitely have a while to wait for this toy, so I actually might give it to my niece to play with until my daughter’s old enough. I like that it teaches kids how to write AND draw. And it has lots of music and sounds, so my daughter is of course going to like it.

  • This interactive board teaches kids how to write letters and draw objects step-by-step
  • Animated demonstrations help preschoolers follow along to learn proper stroke order for upper and lower case letters
  • It even teaches them how to write their name one letter at a time, stroke by stroke
  • Drawing activities teach little artists how to progress from lines to simple shapes and how to draw more than 40 different objects
  • With more than 70 cheerful melodies and sounds, stamps and stencils, learning to write and draw is tons of fun
  • Ages 3-6 years, $24.99

Thanks again to VTech for providing the toys for this review!
