Easter DIY Centerpiece

Easter-Eggs-Centerpiece

Hoppy Easter, everybody! I hope you’re enjoying some lovely spring weather, and if not, I hope you can enjoy some soon! Today I’m sharing with you this super easy Easter egg centerpiece that I made for my home. In fact, it was so easy, I almost didn’t blog about it. I mean, it just seems TOO easy. But I often find that the easiest crafts are my favorite on Pinterest. Why? Because I KNOW I can do them. And sometimes, you just can’t think of how to craft something until you see it.

Case in point, this Easter centerpiece only cost me $5 in materials, and it took me about 5 minutes to put together, but the Easter eggs actually sat at my house for about 2 weeks before I knew what to do with them.

In case you thought you read that wrong, I’m not making this up – the whole DIY centerpiece cost just $5 to make:

I got all of these Easter eggs for just $4, plus a bag of Easter grass for $1. If you don’t have a clear vase lying around the house, the centerpiece may cost a bit more. I got my vase at Michael’s. I don’t know the exact amount that it cost, but I do know I used my 40% coupon for it (like I do every week, lol)!

You can use any size clear vase. If your vase is super big, I would recommend putting some “filler” in the middle of it before putting in your Easter eggs. This could be an empty oatmeal canister, a coffee can – basically something cylindrical that you can cover up with the plastic Easter eggs.

Okay, now start your timer, because your five minutes starts….NOW!

First you’re going to split your Easter grass in half. Put half of your Easter grass in the bottom. Next, you’re going to sort your plastic Easter eggs by color and then put them into the vase. (I didn’t take a picture of this because I think it can be figured out from the picture of the final product.) I’m not going to tell you what order to put the colors in, but I think it looks nicer if you don’t put the same color egg next to the same color Easter grass. Make sense? I.e. if you use purple Easter grass, don’t put the purple Easter eggs in first or last. The last step is that you’re going to top the eggs with the remaining Easter grass.

And voila! You have a super awesome, super easy, super cheap (but beautiful) DIY Easter centerpiece.
